Instructions for adding the emergency guide to your iPhone

• Right-click on the DOWNLOAD link and save the file.  Attach the file to an email and send it to yourself.
• Make sure iBooks is installed on your iPhone.
• Open the email on your iPhone and click on the attached PDF.  Then select "Open in iBooks" from the list of apps.
• This will copy the PDF to iBooks on your phone.  You can then view that PDF anytime from within iBooks, without the need for a wifi or cellular connection.

If you are calling the emergency services from the same phone that you will be using to read the Emergency Guide, then you may be wondering how you can view this information while making a call.  iOS allows this kind of multi-tasking, and you can activate it in the following way:

• First, open the file that you have saved to your desktop using the method above.
• Next, make the call to the emergency services.  You may want to press the speaker button at this point.
• While on the call you can double press the Home button to bring up the multi-tasking display, which will have your Emergency Guide as the most recent item on the list.  You can select this, and then read the information needed while still connected to the call.
• Double press Home again to select Phone option, then END to hang up the call.
